Coaching: Still Here

Still Here is a creative group for adults navigating later-life transitions

90 minutes just for you.

Nobody really prepares you for what this chapter feels like from the inside. The roles you held for decades — professional, caregiver, spouse, parent — change or disappear. The calendar opens up. And perhaps along with a feeling like freedom, there are quiet questions underneath:

Who am I now? What still matters? Is there still time?

Still Here was built to begin answering those questions.

This is for you to explore with 90 minutes a week, a few art supplies, and a small group of people in the same season, to begin finding your own way forward.

What we do
Six Monday mornings on Zoom, I introduce one idea from a values-based framework — drawn from the psychology of acceptance, commitment, and later-life development. Then we make art. Simultaneously, in our own spaces, with our own materials, side by side, on screen.

No instruction. No critique. No interpretation of what your art means.

Just making — and then: what did you notice?

-10 min: Arrival & grounding
One word for where you are. Brief, quiet settling.
-10 min: One idea
Values, presence, acceptance, what remains — a single concept, plainly offered.
-35 min: Side-by-side making
We make art simultaneously. Cameras on or off. You in your space, others in theirs. I make alongside you with my camera on.
-20 min: Optional sharing
Structured, never required. What did you notice? What surprised you?
-10 min: One small intention
A single, specific step before the next session. A direction, not a task.

Is this for you?
It is if:
You’re navigating retirement, loss, a health change, or the question of what comes next
You’ve largely set aside creative practice and want to return to it
You want something that’s yours — not productive, not useful for anyone else
Monday mornings at 10am Pacific work for you
You’re fundamentally okay and not in crisis

This is not for you if
You’re seeking clinical therapy or mental health treatment
You want art instruction or skill-building
You’re in an active mental health crisis
You’re looking for homework or a structured curriculum between sessions

Still Here is a life coaching group, not therapy. No diagnosis, no clinical assessment, no treatment. If you’re unsure whether this or clinical support is the right fit, I’m happy to help you figure that out.

LMFTA · Professional Artist · Writer

I’m in my sixties, and I came to therapy after a long career as a professional artist working in 2D and 3D. I write about grief, caregiving, trauma, and what it means to be human at leilaninorman.com. Still Here sits at the intersection of those two things — studio practice and clinical training — in service of people who are asking the questions that come with this stage of life.

Still Here is a coaching group, not a clinical service. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA) in Washington State, supervised by a licensed Mental Health Counselor.
